The third West of England Championship Regatta of the season at Totnes and Bridgetown on Saturday saw the home club dominant, but with the Bideford Reds and Blues clubs taking five wins and a number of minor placings.

There were wins for the Reds in both the Junior 13 boys and girls categories and with the club's B crews also taking second places in both races.

In the boys race, the A crew of Dan Crowther, Matt Harris, Eden Brittle and Nick Wilson came home ahead of clubmates Will Jones, Ryan Roach, Alex Rowland and Alex Rodgers.

The A crew also picked up a third spot in the final of the Junior 14 race.

It was a similar story in the girls race, with A crew Kirsty Snow, Libbie Willis, Jess Cox and Abby Lawson just edging home ahead of their B crew of Charlotte Berry, Abby Jones, Chloe Pennington and Keely Mills.

There was also a well deserved win for single sculler Lee Dancer, who held off the challenge of a number of up and coming youngsters to win the top Senior B race.

The Blues gained victories in the U16 single sculls through Lee Ingenohl, competing in this event for only the second time this season.

Lee also joined Will Manners, Ollie Roberts-Key and Owen Godwin to row to another win in the U16 Quads.

There was disappointment, however, for the women's novice coxed four of

Hannah and Jessica Myers, Megan Harty and Zoe Robertson, who after two victories this season had this time to be content with second place.

Annie Cook also took second place in the ladies U18 single sculls.

Missing from the Blues' lineup was Alice Jackson, who was at Nottingham National Watersports Centre, trying to gain her GB vest at the final selection for the World Junior Championships.
