Filleigh’s losing habit continued when they were defeated by seven wickets at Shobrooke Park.

Filleigh, whose form in the second half of the season has bordered on the dismal, were all out for 114 with seven overs un-bowled.

The side that was top of the table approaching the halfway stage of the season has only won two of its last nine games.

Justin Saker made 28, three others just made it into double figures and Shobrooke dished up 34 extras.

Andrew Codling (2-25) and Ben Trenaman (2-34) accounted for the top four, which left Craig James (4-21) and the unrelated Jon James (2-16) to polish off the rest.

Chris Ford (17) and Jon James (20) got Shobrooke to 46 for three in reply. Craig James lashed 61 not out from 25 balls – seven fours, five sixes – to see things through.

Filleigh are away to champions elect Barton this Saturday, the side who were behind them after week eight.
