Bideford boxer Jack Langford received an England call up against the Great Britain police squad.

Langford was matched against Leon Findlay at the Metropolitan Police Club in Essex.

Findlay rushed at Langford from the opening bell, but the Bideford boxer kept calm an used his reach advantage to keep his opponent at long range and unable to land his swinging punches.

The second round saw Langford landing some good combinations and backing his opponent up with some wincing blows to show why he was backed by the England coaches.

The fight continued in similiar fashion, with Findlay from Wales having a real go, but he could not match Langford's speed and skill, giving the prospect of bigger and better things to come.
