League leaders Paignton face bottom side North Devon while reigning champions Sidmouth will be looking to get their season back on track against Exeter.

The Tolchards Devon Cricket League Premier Division heads into the sixth matchday with Premier Division leaders Paignton hoping to increase the gap between themselves and the chasing pack.

Here are the games involving East and North Devon teams in the Premier, A and B Division.

Premier Division

Paignton - North Devon

Table-topping Paignton could extend their lead at the top of the division when they host North Devon.

Paignton are in excellent form having won all five of their games. Last weekend they beat Exmouth by nine wickets having reached 226-1.

North Devon, who play their cricket next to Instow beach, have had a markedly worse season than their Saturday opponents.

Their sole victory came against Bovey Tracey in May.

Exeter - Sidmouth

Reigning champions Sidmouth will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat against Torquay when they travel to Exeter.

The team have slipped to fourth in the table having lost their last two games.

Exeter, meanwhile, are in patchy form. Winning two and losing two of their last four they find themselves in third place, one above Sidmouth.

They boast one of the most prolific catchers in the league in Sean Langford who has taken seven out in the field so far this season.

Heathcoat - Exmouth

Exmouth will be attempting to lift themselves out of the relegation zone but face a tough challenge in second placed Heathcoat.

Their opponents have lost just one game this season while Exmouth have only been victorious once.

A Division

Ivybridge - Budleigh Salterton

Fourth placed Budleigh Salterton could move into the promotion places when they take on bottom side Ivybridge.

Budleigh are just two points away from second side Bradninch while Ivybridge are languishing in last place.

Bideford/Littleham/Westward Ho! - Abbotskerswell

Bideford were victorious on their trip to Barton in last weekend after an excellent bowling performance rattled through the hosts, leaving them on 91 all out.

Steve Bond, Jack Ford and Paul Heard all took two wickets each and captain Adam Parker will be hoping for a similar team performance this time round.

Abboskerswell have had a hard time of it so far having won one of their five games.

B Division

Thorverton - Seaton

Seaton are joint top of the B Division alongside Ipplepen and will be hoping their rivals slip up against Chudleigh.

For Seaton, they face a trip to third placed Thorverton however the table can be deceiving as Thorverton have played one game fewer than Seaton and actually boast a better record of three wins and one defeat.

If Seaton lose, they could drop as low as fifth place.
