North Devon 2nd XI were involved in a bizarre game against Upottery in the E Division East that lasted fewer then 12 overs from start to finish.

Upottery could only muster eight players for the trip to Instow and those they had were bowled out for just 14 runs.

Rikki Kelly took four Upottery wickets for 10 runs and Simon Wright (3-4) had the rest.

Jay Rothery (11no) and Joe Kelly (5no) needed just eight balls to end one of shortest games in the history of the Devon Cricket League. But not the shortest.

Exeter St Thomas were bowled out for five by Torquay in August 1976. That was an A Division game.

Buckfastleigh second XI turned up to play Paignton in 1982 with just eight players and they were also skittled for five.

Bideford Second XI were on the wrong end of a 150-run drubbing when they went to Bradninch.

Connor Carthew made 90 not out and Paul Nott an unbeaten 75 in Bradninch's 304 for five.

Josh Stephenson (46) and John Weeks made the only scores of note in the Bideford reply of 154 all out.

Rob Holm pressed a case for a first XI call-up by smacking 165 not out for Barnstaple & Pilton second XI in their 95-run win over Cheriton Fitzpaine in the G Division East.

Filleigh struggled for runs against Kilmington second XI and were well beaten by six wickets in the H Division East with more than 15 overs to go.

Nathan Townsend had a top score of 30 for Filleigh in their total of 115 for eight.

Kevin Toze (3-22) kept one end tight for Filleigh, but an unbeaten 88 by opener Josh Short earned Kilmngton a comfortable win.
