BIDEFORD Nomads travelled to Sidmouth with 15 players and no replacements, but returned brave 24-12 victors.

After conceding an early try, Nomads hit back with a Jason Turner touch down converted by Shaun Woodhead.

Centres Mark North and Harry Walter were exemplary in defence with Woodhead kicking for position to perfection.

Scott Humphries in only his second game with the oval ball had a cracking game in the back row with former Sidmouth player Aaron Taylor showing a similar desire to take the game to the opposition.

After an even first half, Nomads took charge of the forward play and dominated their hosts with Mitch Barclay and Lee Faux (2) running in the tries to put the result beyond doubt.

Woodhead added a conversion and staunch defence ensured the visitors took the spoils in a well-deserved battling performance where tackling and support brought their just rewards.
