A CROWD of more than 700 braved indifferent weather to watch Bideford take on the might of Somerset in a Twenty20 cricket match at Westward Ho! on Monday evening.The match raised money for test Star Marcus Trescothic's benefit and also Children's Hospice South West.Trescothic contributed 29 to his side's total of 165-5, but it was West Indian test star Omari Banks, who top-scored with 65 not out.Bideford worked hard to top Somerset's total, but fell 20 runs short. Youngsters Will Barrett (38no), Jack Hockin (25) and Andy Webbe (27) led the chase.Skipper James Ford said it had been a super night for the club and charity.
