Sheelah Creasy Bowl: The bowl has returned to Ilfracombe for the first time since 1980. At the county finals in Torquay, Ilfracombe- who had been runners-up for a number of years - again met Saunton. After a keenly fought contest, Ilfracombe came out victors four games to three and the team had the great pleasure in putting this very special bow back into the club’s trophy cabinet.

Royal North Devon

Royal British Legion Juniors: The Royal North Devon juniors played in the national finals of the RBL Junior Golf Challenge at the weekend . This competition began in April with 154 junior teams from clubs from all parts the country. After wins against Padbrook Park, Crediton, Teignmouth, Tavistock and Coventry the RND team played in the finals at Staverton Park, Daventry, against teams from Yorkshire, Kent and Lancashire. They were defeated 12-5 by the eventual winners, Formby Golf Club from Liverpool. The RND team members were Bradley Smith, Michael Townshend, Kiaran Tanton and Anthony Mcgeorge .
