GRENVILLE College in Bideford is further strengthening its reputation in the world of judo with some high-profile new moves.The college's elite judo squad trains with Team Bath at Bath University centre of excellence, one of only two of its kind in Europe.Shortly to join Grenville and become Team Bath members are Great Britain cadet Lewis Vicary, West of England team member Adam Palmer and county member Sarah George.Grenville is also looking forward to welcoming a high profile new judo coach for its younger members.She is Nigerian senior international Catherine Ekuta, who competed in the 2004 Olympics and 2007 World Championships and is the current African Nations champion.Another exciting possibility is a link between the Grenville College Judo Academy and an equivalent academy in Russia.Meetings will be held this summer with Andrew Moshanov, who is British Judo Association technical director and sports director of the Russian Judo Federation.
