The England captain was at Braunton Academy on Thursday night to put the clubs senior and youth players and Braunton pupils through their paces. Guthrie, who played Wing Defence and Centre through the Roses historic Commonwealth Games campaign in Australia last year, headed up a series of skills sessions on the night, as well as taking questions and stopping for photos. Carol Anne senior player Charlotte Frickleton said: The juniors and the seniors were awestruck to have a Commonwealth gold medallist and future 2019 World Cup player coaching and inspiring them in womens sport. It is not often that North Devon has these types of opportunities, especially in female sports, so it was a really big deal to provide that opportunity for so many. Guthrie, 29, plays domestic netball for Team Bath, and has racked up more than 50 caps for England since her debut in 2008 at the age of 17.
