They couldn't quite hang on though and were dismissed for 126 with two overs remaining.A second-wicket stand of 84 between James Windsor (41) and Matt Harivel (41) got Braunton up and running.Windsor, back with Braunton after a spell with Exmouth, then added 43 for the third wicket with Andy Paddison (35).Wickets tumbled in the last 10 overs as Braunton tried to raise the tempo. Cornwood's Kevin Willcock cashed in by bowling straight to take five for 42. Skipper Jason Hall picked up two for 38.Cornwood were never allowed to get out of the blocks by the nagging line and length of Mark Lathwell (4-21) or left-armer Jon Baglow (2-24). Devon youth prospect Barney Huxtable had two more wickets for 25 runs as things went from bad to worse for the visitors.After Matt Butterworth (37) and Hall (37) were parted at 88 for five there was only going to be one outcome.Braunton are away to Abbotskerswell this Saturday.l BARNSTAPLE & Pilton 2nd XI dominated their game away to Ivybridge, but had to settle for a draw as the home side blocked it out.Barum veteran Rodney Bowden was in fine form with a top score of 66 and he and John Brierley (34) led B&P to an imposing 222-8. Brain Jarvis (3-51) and Andy Abrahams (2-62) were the pick of the home bowlers. Abrahams then hit an unbeaten 32 as he and Derek Solomon (51no) led their side from an uncomfortable 80 for five to their closing score of 131 for five to leave the sides drawing. Brierley completed a fine all-round effort for Bideford with two wickets for seven runs.Barnstaple will hope to continue their winning streak when Brixham visit them this Saturday.l Bideford II won at a canter at Brixham II.Brixham were restricted to 121-9 despite a decent effort of 28 from Sam Thomas.
