The Instow side faced Bideford in the North Devon T20 final on Friday.

An unbeaten Dan Bowser century steered North Devon to another T20 title.

The Instow side beat Bideford by 105 runs at the North Devon area final, which was held at Barnstaple and Pilton Cricket Club.

Bowser scored 100 from 64 balls on the way to the his team’s total of 185-2, seeing out the innings after opening alongside Ed Yeo.

The two made 97 before the first wicket fell, with Yeo hitting 31 from as many balls before being caught on the boundary.

Barney Huxtable came in, and alongside Bowser North Devon added a steady nine an over.

Huxtable was caught out on 27, but Bowser was able to add the 14 runs he needed for his century from the final 10 balls.

Bideford’s reply was dealt an early blow when James Ford was caught at mid-wicket by Huxtable from Josh King.

Fred King was next in and high-scored for Bideford with 29 runs from 16 balls, but after he was removed by Rikki Kelly, Bideford eventually slipped to 45-5.

Tom Brend and Oliver Hannam put on 30 together.

Max Curtis removed them with consecutive balls before Bideford finished on 80 for eight.
