James Buckland scored a try and set up another as Bideford maintained their unbeaten start to 2015 with a 23-15 win over Bridgwater.

Bideford were never behind after Buckland put them ahead, but Bridgwater kept nipping at their heels for the first half hour.

Ollie Wickett put Buckland in for his first try then added the extras and a penalty for a 10-0 lead.

Back came Bridgwater with two tries from hooker Matt Hastie.

Five minutes before the break Wickett poked Bideford back in front with a penalty.

Almost on the whistle Bideford went 20-10 up when Buckland made the running for Chris Snell to score.

Wickett added another penalty and Bridgwater got a try back through lock Tyler Buller.

Bideford go to North Petherton this Saturday.
