THREE Bideford Rifle Club members were in the successful Devon team of 10 shooters who beat Cornwall comprehensively to retain the Kerslake Trophy.The match held at Moretonhampstead saw Ann Travis, Martin Morgan and Pete Thomson all score 587 out of a possible 600 on their English match shoot. Their scores were the second highest in the Devon team and helped the county to a 61 point victory over Cornwall.Early results from the National Summer Leagues are also encouraging for the Bideford Club. From the first two rounds in the National 50-metres league, the two Bideford club teams recorded three wins and one narrow loss. They currently lie third and second in their respective divisions.In the Polar Bear League, the Bideford Club team remains unbeaten after three rounds.
