Junior rugby round up in North Devon

It took Bideford Under 13s 20 minutes to get onto the score sheet in a 57-5 win against South Molton on Sunday.

Ewen Duhig, Ryan Smale, Freddy Hentstridge, Jack Sargent and new overseas signing, full-back Cameron Vasaline all eventually crossed the line, with Sargent kicking two.

Five pairs of Bideford fresh legs coming on in part two stretched the South Molton defence further – as well as the lungs of referee Rob Blackmore.

Jago Craven ran in a try seconds after the re-start and Hentstridge ran the full length of the pitch to touch down between the post. Smale, Duhig, and Vasaline all crossed again, with Sargent kicking another three.

Alfie King popped over Bideford’s last but to Molton’s credit they never gave up and were awarded a penalty try towards the end
