Bideford dropped down to seventh in the South West One table after losing 19-10 at Chard. Bideford had plenty to do at the interval after turning round 12-0 down and promptly set about doing it! Full-back Chris Snell cut the leeway with a penalty then converted a try by replacement Pete Bowles to leave two points in it. Bowles gathered a box kick at pace and galloped over under the posts from halfway. Snell kicked the conversion taking the score to 12-10. Chard made the game safe with their own try under the posts. Bideford are back at King George V this Saturday to face lowly Clevedon.
