Bideford Reds have continued their preparations for the upcoming West of England Championship season.

The rowing club named one of their single sculls over the weekend, thanks to the generosity of club secretary Carole Hadcroft.

The scull, which is used by the club's junior rowers was christened Scullduggery.

Scullduggery was taken out on the water by 14-year-old Lara Gasiorowski following the naming.

The 14-year-old is hoping to race with the boat when the championship season starts at Plymouth on Saturday, June 3.

The Reds have carried out extensive refurbishment on a number of their racing boats ready for the season ahead.
