Bideford played their first home match of the new Tribute South West One West season on Saturday.
Bideford did the hard work before the break to set up a 26-13 win over visiting Chard.
The Riversiders were 21-6 up at the break thanks to three tries.
Alex Priest was mauled over for the first try and Simon Bright got the second in a similar manner.
Try number three was run in by teenage wingman Reece Pearne, who dashed over from half-way.
All three tries were converted by Olly Wickett.
Jon Humphrey kicked two penalties for Chard.
The second half was a bit more subdued.
Chris Snell at nine darted over for Bideford’s bonus-point try.
Bryn Mays got a consolation try back for Chard.
Bideford are away to Clevedon this Saturday.
