It was another away day for Bideford, but they came away from Kingsbridge with a 31-19 win.

Bideford clinched a 31-19 bonus point win at Kingsbridge with just five minutes left on the clock in the South West One West.

Kingsbridge were ahead twice in the match – 9-3 and 16-10 – and with five minutes left were only 24-19 down and still in the game.

Bideford rolled a maul up to the line from the home 22 with Chris Snell credited for the try.

Kingsbridge felt hard done by to miss out on a losing bonus point, especially as they felt the first try should not have been given as the ball was dropped before the try was scored.

Bideford’s tries were scored by Alex Priest, Dean Folland, Peter Bowes and Snell on a good day for the forwards.

Olly Wickett potted all four conversions and a penalty.

Bideford are at home to Chard this Saturday.
