Bideford Amateur Boxing Club had Tommy Langford back in the ring on Sunday as the club held a Sparathon.
The club’s gym was the venue for hours of non-stop sparring, with boxers of all ages completing a total of 100 rounds during the afternoon.
Former British middleweight champion Langford took up residency in one of the rings, completing more than 30 rounds as the Bideford boxers took to the ring with the 29-year-old.
The event raised £668 towards the club’s trip to Sheffield later this month, where they will visit GB Boxing facilities and take on a Sheffield select team.
Bideford ABC coach Richard Grigg praised the boxers’ efforts and thanked the community for their support on behalf of the club.
He said: “This means the trip to Sheffield will have no extra cost for the kids, and it’s nice to have Tommy back.
“I think its nice for him to come back and see everyone and get in the ring.”
