BARNSTAPLE will be looking for their first win in three games this Saturday when they entertain Weston (2pm).

Barum seem to have stalled in recent weeks, losing to Newton Abbot in stoppage time then Old Redcliffians last time out.

While there may have been some feelings of being hard done by against Newton when the killer try was scored in the seventh minute of added time, there could be no grumbles about the Old Reds outcome.

Reds were 10-3 up at the interval – Ryan Carter’s drop-goal putting Barum on the board – and posted 17 points without reply in the second half.

Carter captained the side in the absence of Winston James, who has left for Australia where he is planning to play in Sydney for Knox RFC.
