On a wet and energy sapping pitch, Barnstaple U12s put in a magnificent performance to draw 14-14 with Crediton. The first half saw Barnstaple absorb sustained pressure from Crediton, only allowing a quickly taken penalty to break their lines. Michael Taylor had an outstanding first-half performance, making three try saving tackles to keep Barum in contention. Crediton started well in the second half, scoring an early try. Barum came back with a strong drive from the forwards to set up a well-executed try for centre Ben Morrison. With five minutes remaining, Barnstaple stepped up the pressure, allowing scrum-half Cameron Henderson to score a deserved try. The tries were converted by Henderson. Man of the Match went to Sean Davies. Barum U11s maintained their unbeaten record but were pushed hard by a strong Crediton team.Even though Barnstaple played a number of inexperienced players, they still won 35-10. Try scorers were Nathaniel Bayet. Alexi Bulpett (3), Robbie Hume, Joseph Caley and Nathan Squire.Barnstaple U10s ran rings round Crediton to emerge 35-0 winners.Crediton were big in the forwards, but less able to compete with Barum outside.Barum scored seven tries through the backs.
