Luke Berrys fancy footwork has earned him England Rugbys try of the month award for December. The Barnstaple fullback completed the outrageous try in Barums 27-15 win at Broadstreet on December 2. Berrys nonchalant touch with his outstretched left foot saw him control Gwyn Parks crossfield kick and gather it into his arms before touching down. It was picked as the grassroots try of the month by Englands Danielle Waterman. The Red Roses fullback said Berry showed absolutely unbelievable skill to control the ball with his foot. Berry saw it a bit differently though, telling the England Rugby website: I didnt quite have the pace to catch the ball so I stuck a foot up and luckily it bounced up for me.
