Barnstaple Swimming Club’s U17s claimed revenge over Paignton at North Devon Leisure Centre on Thursday night.
In a week where the two sides met both home and away, Barnstaple recovered from defeat in the Paignton pool to win 11-5 in the reverse fixture.
Barum had struggled to adapt to the Torbay Leisure Centre pool four days earlier, going down 15-4 – Jake Gooding and Jake Greening scored twice each.
But on Thursday, in their home pool and with Tyler Weatherly and Jack Whittaker joining them in the side, there were no such problems.
Weatherly scored four goals and also covered well to stop Paignton finding the goal. Goalkeeper Sam Allix and defender Job Walters had excellent games, as did Molly Butterworth, who chipped in with three goals.
Greening and Whittaker also scored twice for Barnstaple. Nathan Pollard, Jack Argent, Louis Furze and Ryan Voles completed the team.
Barnstaple are at home to Newton Abbot this Thursday night.
