It didn’t take Barnstaple & Pilton long to secure victory in the Tolchard’s Devon C East on Saturday

Barnstaple & Pilton showed Countess Wear no mercy in a horribly one- sided encounter.

The Wear only travelled with 10 players and were shunted out for 65 in the 32nd over.

Skipper James Bogue went in at 10 for one and was eighth out on 62.

No one else made more than eight – other than the 16 extras.

James Thomas led the B&P bowling effort with three for 19 and there were two wickets each for Jack Moore and his dad Steve.

Barnstaple & Pilton only needed 5.3 overs to wipe off the runs – and the did it without losing a wicket.

George McEndoo flogged 36 not out off 15 balls and Tom Popham chipped in with an unbeaten 15.

Barstaple & Pilton are away to Feniton on Saturday.
