There were six Barnstaple boxers in action at Barnstaple Rugby Club across 12 bouts. Topping the bill was Jed Davies, who earned a majority decision win over Malmesbury ABCs Lewis Roberts. Davies held the middle of the ring in the opening round, finishing it with an excellent three-punch combination. He built on that in the second round, moving well and landing some clean hits, with a hook and straight shot putting him in control. Roberts came back in the final round as he went after the contest, but Davies had enough to take the win. Billy Sheppard was also a majority winner before the final bout, beating Brandon Robson of Carls Boxing Stable. Sheppard caught a straight shot through his guard early on, but was able to get back on the front foot and end the round well. He came out firing in the second, dodging a shot from Robson and putting in a barrage of punches. Sheppard began to tire in the third round, with Robson able to find some clean punches, but not enough to swing the bout back in his favour. Findlay Lloyd was also victorious, winning his contest against Budes Archie Tape with a split decision. The two were evenly matched in the opening round, with Lloyd landing some clean right hooks. He used the ring well in the second and got on the front foot before ending the round with a spell of impressive shots. Charlie Ludwell and Billie Down were on the wrong end of judges decisions on Saturday. Ludwell took on Gator ABCs Marcus Bassi Jr, who was able to put more pressure on as the fight progressed to take the unanimous win against the Barnstaple boxer. Down lost a majority decision to Malmesburys Thomas Nutt. Down started well but lost some momentum near the end of the second round when he was caught with a stinging right hook. Buster Davies was in action at the start of the evening in a skills contest with National Smelting Cos Ronnie Butler.Other results: Callum McKluskey (Hard Knocks) beat Thomas Bowles (Haddenham and Ely), unanimous; Sam Beaton (Carls Boxing Stable) retired v Morgan Cole (Malmesbury); Jack Taylor (Carls Boxing Stable) beat Harrison Lofts (Watchet ABC), unanimous; Liam Findlay (Haddenham and Ely) beat Nathan Martin (Bude), majority; Don Mole (Broad Street ABC) retired v Sam Smith (Launceston); Arizona Oji (Broad Street) beat Harry Sasse (Bude), unanimous.
