THE North Devon Netball League, sponsored by the Michelle White Fitness Centre, finally returned to the purpose built courts at Park School this week.They were met with cold, wet weather, but glad to use the courts and to see them stand up well to the testing conditions.Carol Anne Diamonds continue to march towards the Division 1 title, beating Titans Apollo 49-30 thanks to some great defending by Rhiann Lovett. Stars A only moved up to Division 1 this season, but showed their intention to stay with another good win, this time over Titans Voyager 36-24. In Division 2 Carol Anne Amethysts convincingly defeated Golds 40-5, while Titans Jupiter had a tougher time before overcoming Coodes Cougars 33-32.Venners Cobras also had a close battle in the first half of their Division 3 match against Langtree Re-Unites Rogues, but when injury left Rogues with only six players the Cobras pulled away to win 39-28.Woolacombe worked hard against the elements to overcome DP Windows Warriors 26-15 in Division 4 while Kingsley School teams faced each other, the Year 11 side having the edge over the Year 10s, winning 23-8.
