ADAM Palmer, a sixth form student at Bideford's Kingsley School and an outstanding judo player, has won one of only five places from across Europe to train and study at Tokei University in Tokyo this summer.Seventeen-year-old Adam, who is a 1st Dan member of TeamBath and Kingsley Judo Academy , will train for six intensive weeks with some of the world's finest judo players, including world champions."This is an incredible opportunity for Adam and thoroughly well-deserved," said Kingsley's Senior Coach John Davies. "TeamBath have already designated Adam a 'talented' player, with a genuine chance of representing Great Britain at the London Olympics in 2012. This trip can only strengthen his prospects. He'll learn so much from training with the masters. I'm delighted and proud."Adam leaves for Tokyo on July 1 and returns on August 9.
