In a contest that was part of an Army versus London show top raise money for the Remembrance Day Appeal. He took on the highly rated Chris Mbwakongo of Lynn ABC in a 64kg contest. It was certainly a day to remember for Jimmy who produced his best ever display in front of Army top brass. Jimmy made a good start, finding his range early and scoring well, and continued in this vein throughout the opening round to finish well ahead on points. The Londoner made a determined push to close the scoreline in the second round, but Jimmy stepped up a gear in round three, forcing his opponent to one knee for an eight count with a right-left to the head followed by a punishing body shot. He continued to force the fight and ran out a unanimous winner.
