It was a great weekend for Torridgeside Swimming Club, with two competitions at two different locations and medals brought home from them both.

At the Devon County Sprint meet there were top Bagcat honours for Emily Tyrrell in the girls 10 years and Joseph Knibbs in the boys 15 years categories. Paula Knibbs gained third in the girls 16 and over.

Individual medals: Gold – Joseph Knibbs 50m Breast 50m Fly 50m Back; Emily Tyrrell 50m Breast, Noah Stevens 50m Free. Silver – Emily Tyrrell 50m Fly 50m Back, Miles Miller 50m Breast, David Miller 50m Breast 50m Back, Paula Knibbs 50m Back, Joseph Knibbs 50m Free. Bronze – Paula Knibbs 50m Fly, Noah Stevens 50m Fly, Emily Tyrrell 50m Free.

At the Taunton Deane open meet at Millfield, Louis and Charlie Woodward won medals and set personal best times at the long course meet. Louis took gold in the boys 13 years 50m free and silver in the 100m Freestyle and set five personal best times. Charlie took silver in the girls 11 years 200m Butterfly and also set five personal best times.
