BIDEFORD teenager Sophie Lamont is to join the Netball England Young Leaders Camp for a second year.

Last year Sophie, 18, won one of 50 netball places as a leader at the camp at Rugby School in Warwickshire.

She later gained a place as a mentor to work with Tanzanian netball players who visited England in March for a tour to help them practice for the Common Wealth Games, spending six days with them in Bradford.

Now Sophie will be using her experience from last year's camp, which included workshops on subjects such as how to run a club, sports psychology, improving your game, coaching, umpiring and game play, to be one of six netball mentors at this year's England Young Leaders Camp at Bradfield School near Reading, next month.
