Snow White returns to Westward Ho!

North Devon Gazette

Westward Ho! Follies have been entertaining audiences for over 70 years – and they are back again this year….oh yes they are!Â

With their usual brand of music and mayhem that is enjoyed by many, the cast have been busy rehearsing since September, and members new and old look forward to entertaining you once more. Â

This year’s production is Snow White, a tale which is familiar to all, and includes all the usual suspects: king, queen, Snow White, the prince,  â€“ and some vertically challenged (or not) people. Â

A panto is not complete without the dame, and she and her sidekicks are also in the lineup, as well as a few more characters.Â

Covid restrictions and infections have not stopped the cast pulling together to provide the much-loved entertainment this year. Come along to find out whether the evil queen will succeed in her attempts to kill Snow White, whether the cook will ever ‘Catch the Cat’ and how some yokels fit into the mix.Â

Shows take place at Kingsley Hall in Westward Ho!, Friday, 25th February and Friday 4th March at 7pm, and Saturday 26th, Sunday 27th February, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th March at 2pmÂ

Adults £6, children and recycled teenagers £5, Family (2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children) £20Â

Tickets available on the door, but booking is advisable – call Sarah on 07718 619642. Â

As well as the excitement and fun that only a panto can bring, the Westward Ho! Follies have plenty more to look forward to, with rehearsals beginning on March 12 for a new musical show.Â
