The Rotary Club of Barnstaple Link has launched an initiative to increase its Membership during March, so that it can further extend its positive impact in serving the local community. Â

Membership Coordinator Grahame Davidson said: “We’re looking for people who want to give back to the community and to use their professional skills and talents to make a difference. Â

“Many locals will have seen us marshalling at the Vaccination Centre in Barnstaple and been aware of our popular monthly Memory Café, the Senior Citizens Christmas Party, regular Quiz Nights, annual Golf Day, litter picks, child reading projects, Barnstaple in Bloom planting etc – we like to keep busy!” Â

The Rotary Club of Barnstaple Link currently has 32 Members and is a vibrant, innovative and imaginative organisation making a positive difference in our community through a variety of projects and service opportunities. Â

Over the past twelve years, the Club has raised over £400,0000 for a variety of good causes and local organisations through its charitable fundraising. Â

Club Secretary Ralph Gordon added: “Rotarians are dedicated people who share a passion for both community service, fun and friendship. There are so many projects and fun activities for Members to get involved in as part of Rotary, our impact starts with our Members.Â

“As a large and diverse organisation, Rotary provides individuals with the power to help those in need.” Â
