Sheep mutilated in dog attack

Police are investigating the second attack on sheep by dogs in the Landcross area in the past three months

FIVE sheep were left badly mutilated and one lamb was slaughtered as the result of an attack by two dogs near Landcross.

The attack, involving two dark brown/black and white spaniels took place between 12 noon and 2.30pm on Monday on land bordering the road from Landcross to Littleham.

The dogs were spotted by the farmer, who was unfortunately unable to intervene.

This is the second such incident in the past three months and has been reported to the police. Anyone with information regarding the dogs is asked to call the police by dialling 101 and quoting reference CD/11/2203.
