A win and a draw wraps up an eventful weekend for the league leaders

Shebbear United retained control of the Senior Division as they picked up four points from games against North Molton Reserves and Pilton Academicals at the weekend.

Martin Davey scored two and Matt Facey and Ben Pomeroy got one each in Saturday’s 4-2 win at Rocksfield while Chris Pomeroy scored an equaliser in Sunday’s 1-1 home draw with Pilton Academicals.

Antony Higgs scored the goal for the Accies who had waltzed past Park United the previous day with a 6-1 win.

Carl Blair opened the scoring with a little over a minute played at Rock Park. The visitors equalised before skipper Luke Alcock restored the lead and Pilton went on to dominate the match with further goals by Claudio Pinto, James Gregory, Brendan Patton and an own goal.

Woolsery retained second spot in the table with a 3-2 win at Bratton Fleming. Mischa Howe and Hallum Cook put the visitors 2-0 up before Bratton hit back through Liam Hawkins and Richard Elston. Owen Kewley scored the winner for Woolsery. The two sides meet again in the Combe Martin Cup semi-final in two weeks’ time.
