Primary school receives donation from developer to support parents

Allison Homes South West has gifted Winkleigh Primary School with a donation to help towards reducing the price of school trips during the next academic year.

The £250 donation will support parents and carers with children at the school who might not otherwise be able to afford for their children to attend trips as the cost-of-living rises.

Trips and residential experiences are an important part of the enriched curriculum offered at the school. For children in key stage two, an annual residential trip is planned for each year group. These residential trips build on what the children learn in class and provide invaluable experiences.

Commenting on the donation, Executive Head Teacher, Victoria Fenemore said: “The donation from Allison Homes is a lovely gift to offer the school and we are truly grateful.

“We have an extensive program of trips that we offer across all our classes over the school year. This kind donation will help us to subsidise some of the trips and reduce costs and will ensure that all children have the same experiences and opportunities.”

Commenting further Michele Jones, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for Allison Homes South West added: “We are committed to helping local communities and we are thrilled to be supporting the school.

“It’s a tough time for many families, and we are delighted that our donation will be going towards lowering the cost of school trips. We hope these experiences will create long-lasting memories for the children of Winkleigh Primary School.”

Winkleigh Primary School is situated opposite to High Moor View, an upcoming Allison Homes development, which offers a range of two- and three-bedroom bungalows and two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes.

The High Moor View development will offer homeowners access to scenic green spaces and life as part of a tight-knit village community, perfect for families and downsizers. The development is situated close to the village’s local amenities and less than ten miles from the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

While the houses and show homes are currently under construction, the High Moor View marketing suite is now open. Please contact 01778 391530 to discuss appointments for the development or register your interest via the website: https://allison-homes.co.uk/development/high-moor-view/
