The Cedars Hotel is the venue for a charity reunion gigs of North Devon rock ‘n’ roll band

THE boys are back in town as Barnstaple rock ‘n’ roll band The Prairie Dogs get together on Friday with charity reunion gig for one night only.

The event at the Cedars Hotel is hosted by Barnstaple Rock ‘n’ Roll Club and will be raising money for children’s Hospice South West plus Help for Heroes.

The Prairie Dogs will be bringing their well—remembered brand of 1950s rock ‘n’ roll and roots rockabilly sound back to a North Devon stage for the first time in many years. They will be joined by DJs Cruise, Midnight Shift and Geronimo Jo.

Many local people will remember the Prairie Dogs quartet, whose members did ride off into the sunset but continue to live and work in North Devon.

Lead vocal and rhythm guitarist Phil Brock will be well known to many local music fans, following his time with The Dimestore Gamblers and his current rockabilly show Echoes of Elvis.

Vocalist and double bassist Tony Elphick continues to perform with The Atlantics, a popular and authentic North Devon rock ‘n’ roll band forever in great demand.

They are joined by lead guitar and vocalist Tim plus Buddy on drums and harmonies.

The night starts at 7.30pm and goes on until late. Tickets are available on the door at a cost of 6. For more information contact Bill on 07899 701498.
