Leaders bounce back from first defeat of the season

PILTON Academicals bounced back from their first league defeat of the season to beat Barnstaple AAC Reserves 3-0 on Saturday.

James Gregory, Matt Hunt and Aaron Yeo scored the goals as the Accies closed in on the title.

Bratton, who beat the leaders 3-2 on Tuesday night, edged past Shamwickshire Rovers Reserves with a 3-2 win thanks to goals by Damien Green (2) and Rob Vogler.

Three wins from their last five would see Pilton crowned champions.
