HATHERLEIGH 2nds ran into former Devon players Keith Donohue and Jeremy Williams when they faced Plympton â€“ with predictable consequences!
The pair, both on the comeback trail after time out of the game, helped Plympton post 204-7. Williams made 45 and Donohue an unbeaten 75 after Plympton had dealt with Sean Leatheran (2-37) and Ross Cherrington (2-48).
Sean Forrester (32) top scored for Hatherleigh, who were bowled out for 105 in reply.
Having been 48 without loss, Hatherleigh dipped to 83-5 and had no way back. Jamie Pfeiffer (3-9) wrapped things up for Plympton.
Dan Pickard slammed a 143 for North Devon 2nds as they stacked up 276-3 against Cornwood. Pickard hit 25 fours from 127 balls and shared in a stand of 165 for the third wicket with Warren Miller (67).
Cornwood got to 120-5, Ben Warren making 57, then faded away to 175 all out. Peter Blyth with 6-27 put the skids under Cornwood, aided and abetted by Paul Heard (2-23).
Hatherleigh go to Cornwood this Saturday while North Devon are away to Budleigh Salterton.
