Petroc potential on display with a fine sporting week

North Devon Gazette

It has been a terrific week for the Petroc Sports Academies, recording victories in netball and football, while the Pan-Disability side took park in a fantastic tournament in Newton Abbot. Â

It was a case of mini revenge for the netball team, as they travelled to Bridgewater, who had shown their quality with an impressive 44-24 win at Petroc in December. This time, it was a very different affair and, after a really good team performance, Petroc came away with a 36-24 triumph.Â

The men's football played at home (at Tarka) against Penwith and they clearly had their shooting boots, securing a dominant 7-1 victory with some fabulous attacking talent on display.Â
The Petroc Pan-Disability side travelled to Newton Abbot for the second of four mini tournaments, drawing an entertaining game 1-1 with Truro, and also 1-1 with Weston before a narrow 2-1 reverse against City College Plymouth.Â
