Party at the Manor beckons again

Fun in Fremington for all the family on bank holiday weekend Sunday

PACKED with music, fun and activities for all ages, the popular Party at the Manor is this Sunday from 12 noon until 7pm in the grounds of Fremington Manor.

Organised by Fremington and District Community Group for local good causes, the event is in its fourth year and has a range of things to see and do.

There is live music from Liquidators aka, Yum Yums, Company of Fools, Moon Saloon, Sam Pain Trio, Bethan Funning, The Confused, Taya Lambden and Yasmin Chamberlain amongst others.

There will be street, break and hip hop dance between acts while in the evening the music moves to the Fox and Hounds pub in Fremington, with admission free.

The children’s ticket of �2.50 allows unlimited use of the Children’s Area, which includes bouncy castles, the Captain Coconut and Boo Boo the Clown shows, plus games such as snail racing, hook-a-duck, teddy tombola and crafts.

A Teenage Area is being set up by Seize the Moment, where teens can hang out, make t-shirts, dance and create their own music.

There is plenty of refreshment at the beer tent and barbecue plus cream teas and cakes, as well as a tombola and raffle.

Due to regulations, the event now has to be ticket only at �10 for adults and 2.50 for children. These can be purchased from Blights in Bideford, Devon Outdoor & Camping Supplies at Trelawney Garden Centre, Gratton’s Butchers in Barnstaple, BMyOffice, Fremington Post Office, Beechfield Stores and Bickington Stores. Since it began the event has raised more than �15,000 and organisers would like to thank the community for its continued support as well as the many volunteers plus local businesses and organisations who support it.
