NORTH Devon is on the look-out for a team of young athletes to defend the area's title at this year's Devon Games to Inspire.

Trials are about to begin to find a team to compete at the annual county-wide event, which this year takes place in Tavistock on July 10.

Girls' tag rugby trials for Years 8/9/10 are taking place at Barnstaple Rugby Club from 6-7.30pm on Friday evenings, while volleyball try-outs are being held for Year 7/8/9 boys and girls at Petroc Field courts on May 29, from 9-11.30am.

The pool at North Devon Leisure Centre will host Aquathlon trials for boys and girls from Years 5 to 10 from 4pm on June 5, and athletics try-outs are being held at North Devon Athletics Track on June 9 for boys and girls from Years 5 and 6. Boys and girls from Years 5/6/7/8 can take part in netball trials at Park School on June 13, from 9-11am.
