BARNSTAPLE U16s edged home 22-19 in the top-of-the-table clash with Okehampton.

Barnstaple struck the first blow from a well-worked back-row move when Sam Roach ran over.

Okes came back with a try but parity only lasted until Barum scrum-half Ben Vellacott darted over the try line and touched down.

Okehampton again came back with a try to square it on 12-12 at half time.

Iwan Williams followed up his own kick ahead for a try to put Barnstaple back in front.

For the third time in the game, Okehampton got back on level terms.

Scott Warren, who kicked two earlier conversions, put over a penalty to edge Barum into a winning lead.

BARNSTAPLE U15s played catch up from start to finish against Okehampton and got their just in time.

Okes were 12-0 up before Barnstaple got on the board with a try by Jordan Petherbridge on his starting debut.

The second half saw good physical play from both sides until T J Hyman scored close in to the posts and the conversion levelled the scores.

Okehampton were awarded a penalty try which left Barum eight minutes to get back on terms.

Bradley Drew, Liam Ellis and Jo Dimilow led the charge. Quick thinking, and fast hands, resulted in Ellis touching down. The kicked squared the scores.

BARUM U14s continued their impressive start to the season with a 55-5 victory over Okhampton.

In a rather scrappy game Barum were just too strong for the visitors and ran in eight tries from, Zac Davie, Sam Roberts, Steven Trawin, Alexie Bulpet, Kipper Slumen and Nat Baye. Conversions were kicked by Robbie Hume and Sam Roberts.

BARNSTAPLE U13s lost a ding-dong date with Okehampton 29-21.

Okehampton's big pack of forwards set up an early try.

From a scrum on the 22-metre line Barum scored a super try. Austin White ran on to a perfectly weighted pass from Jack Cloke to score under the posts. Matthew Symons converted.

The score did not stay at 7-7 for long. The Okehampton pack began to dominate and this enabled them to scoring a further three tries.

With the score 22-7 at half time there was a lot for the Barum lads to do.

After a half-time talking to, the Barum lads came out with renewed energy and started to play to their strengths.

Barum another try through White which was converted by Symons.

Okehampton responded with a converted try, but Barum had the last word with an Alfie Pennyfield try which was expertly converted by Symons from a difficult angle.

BARNSTAPLE U12s dominated from start to finish at Okehampton, running out 26-0 winners.

Danny Southworth, Joel Anderson, Otis Llewellyn and debutant Tom Squire scored tries and Squire kicked three conversions.

BARNSTAPLE U8s won 15-8 on tries against Okehampton. There were tries for Ollie Kelly, Ellis Rees, Henry Huxtable, Grace Eckford and Daniel Trapnell.

BIDEFORD U13s overwhelmed plucky South Molton 61-0.

Nathan Schanlon scored on the right wing and there were two near misses before Ashley Crouch crossed for the second try.

As the Bideford back got motoring Rhys Eyles, Dom Coope and Fraser Smith all scored tries

The first half was rounded off by a backs' move which put Crouch over for his second try.

Rob Dunn kicked two first-half penalties.

The second half got under way with Bideford's pack dominating the scrums, and causing trouble for South Molton at line-outs.

Fraser Smith crossed for his second try, converted by Crouch, followed by two in quick succession for full-back Ben Moulder, the second a clever chip and chase.Two more tries followed for Alex Smith and Dunn.

BIDEFORD U12s kicked off their season with a 40-7 win over Bude.

Tries were scored by Chris Wonnacott, Alfie Constable, Kai Abbott and Jack Willes. Chris Wonnacott kicked the conversions.

BIDEFORD U11s lost 36-5 to Bude in their opening game of the season.

Jack Webber - one of five new comers in the side - stood out for his tackling.

Scrum-half Owen Seaward scored Bideford ford's only try after a blistering run down the wing.
