THE 2010 North Devon Festival brochures are now available and reveal this year's programme in June as being as diverse as it is inspiring.
The month-long celebration of culture features an extraordinary explosion of creative energy, from music to science, visual arts to comedy and from theatre to extreme sports, with so much more between.
As well as arts, music, education, heritage and sport, the North Devon Festival celebrates the glorious countryside, sweeping moors and dramatic coastline of the area.
As usual, the Festival programme features a large number of free performances and activities, ensuring that there really is something for everyone.
The theatre's line-up this year includes a host of household names and offers audiences a chance to catch top-notch comedians, musicians and high-calibre theatre productions at the Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple and the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe.
The line-up includes Paul Merton, Rick Wakeman, Shappi Khorsandi, Jacqui Dankworth, Andy Hamilton, Chris Packham, Nicola Benedetti, Sir Andrew Motion, Treemonisha, as performed by the Pegasus Opera Company and the eagerly anticipated Theatre Royal Bath production of Alan Bennett's acclaimed play The History Boys.
Brochures are available now from various outlets and the programme is online at www.northdevonfestival.org. For further information, check the website or call the Box Office on 01271 32 42 42.
