BIDEFORD Nomads ended the season on a high note with a 25-10 derby win in a tough encounter at Torrington.

The first half was close, but handling errors meant the Nomads were unable to break the deadlock until full-back Lee Faux scored 30 minutes in.

Torrington fought on doggedly and forced the Nomads into errors deep in their own half resulting in a converted score right on half time giving them a 7-5 lead.

In the second half the Nomads cut the handling errors from their game and elusive running from substitute centre Adam Crouch set up Faux for two further scores.

Crouch scored one as well, which he also converted.

With ten minutes to go Crouch added a penalty to put the Nomads more than two converted scores ahead, which was how things ended at 25-10.

Once again there were many good performances, but hat-trick man Faux, Crouch, prop Pete Seward and centre Jake Wood were the pick of them.
