NORTH Devon Council is asking young people for their views on new youth web pages being introduced to help them to find out what is happening in their local area and how to get involved. The council is sending out questionnaires to schools and youth organisations to find out what young people would like to see on the new web pages and how they should be designed. The proposed pages could include a directory of local youth organisations, an events calendar and links to helpful websites.Cllr David Butt, the council's lead member for youth and diversity, said: "In our corporate business plan, youth engagement is a key priority so that we help increase the quality of life of children and young people in North Devon. "Our services are likely to be better if they are designed and delivered around the needs of our customers. To find this out we need to ask the users, children and young people." Rachael Allen, community development co-ordinator, added: "This questionnaire is important because it is an opportunity for young people to tell us what they would like and would find useful on new web pages for them."If you would like to get involved, you can fill in a copy of the questionnaire online by visiting www.northdevon.gov.uk and clicking the link in the 'have your say' box. The deadline for responses is Friday, December 19.
