Barnstaple Pannier Market will play host to the eighth North Devon Foodfest tomorrow (Sunday). Find out what’s going on here.

The eighth ever North Devon Foodfest is back tomorrow (Sunday) and promises an event to delight the tastebuds.

From 10am-3.30pm, Barnstaple Pannier Market will come to life with local producers, street food, real ales, cookery demonstrations and more.

From cheese and chocolates to meats and wine, there will be plenty to see and something for everyone.

More than 10,000 visitors visited North Devon Foodfest kast year, and as well as plenty to try and buy, there will also be cookery demonstrations to watch.

Visit the Queen’s Theatre at the following times to see these demonstrations:

10.30am: Dan Tugwell

Dan works at The Rams Head Inn in Dolton, and was semi finalist for the academy of the culinary arts annual away of excellence for four years running. He has also worked under two Michelin starred chefs at the Mason Arms and The Clock House.

11.15am: Mark Dodson

Mark is the chef at The Mason Arms, an award-winning one star Micheling Restaurant in Knowstone.

12pm: Tim Maddams

Tim is a chef, food writer and cookery teacher who lives in Devon. He regularly features in the River Cottage television series and has his own company, Green Sauce, which teaches cooking and consults on ethical food.

1pm: Chanetelle Gerken

Chantelle started work at the Barnstaple Hotel straight from school, and has recently completed the first part of her two year apprenticeship with the Brend Training Academy.

2pm: Jamie Coleman

Jamie joined the Saunton Sands Hotel as head chef in September, and has previously worked with both Gordon Ramsey at Claridges and Michael Caines at Gidleigh Park.

2.45pm: Ready Steady Cook Challenge

Dez Turland and Stuart White from Brend Hotels will be given surprise ingredients from their contestants – who will shop at Foodfest – and will have to conjure up the best dishes possible.
