The Thorne Park site, which is owned by North Devon Council, will provide 19 parking spaces, including one disabled space. Footpath and landscaping works will also be carried out as part of the project, which gets underway on Monday, April 12.

Cllr Richard Edgell, Lead Member for Assets, said: "North Devon Council has worked closely with West Down Parish Council to get this facility off the ground.

"It follows a consultation exercise with local people, which identified a need for more off-street parking for residents."
