WOOLSERY, near Bideford, has been named as runner-up in the Calor Devon Village of the Year competition.
The overall winner of the competition, run by the Community Council of Devon, was Hemyock in mid Devon.
The villages will be presented with their awards at the Community Council of Devon conference in the Teign Valley Hall, Christow, on October 21.
David Kinross, the competition organiser, said: "Our congratulations go to all the villages in this year's competition.
