Woolacombe policing team have checked nearly 700 vehicles for speed and road worthiness at a number of locations around the town.

This forms part of a concerted operation to tackle speeding and anti-social driving, which has been identified as a key priority by local people.

Several motorists have been warned for exceeding 30mph speed limits and four tickets have been issued to motorists for not wearing seat belts.
